EGERTON 4     NORTHWICH VICTORIA  1     24th October

This week Northwich Vics provided the opposition at Egerton Youth Club, with the league leaders Egerton dominating the match to win 4-1. Two goals from Clawson, including a superb swivelling volley, and a strike from Wilson gave Egerton a strong foothold in the game. A second half debut from new keeper James Crosby allowed Ollie Lasham to rampage around the pitch, culminating in  a fine assist to allow Moore to comfortably finish off the game.
TYTHERINGTON 0  EGERTON 8           17th October
Last week saw a big 8-0 win against Tytherington. A competitive first half saw Egerton 1-0 up at the break, with Wilson finishing off Weatherby's penalty which cannoned back off the bar.
The second half turned into a procession of goals as Wilson grabbed a further 3 goals, whilst Williams scored a couple. Moore and McGrath completed the scoring and the team could easily have scored more with the Tytheringtom keeper making some spectacular saves. As importantly, the defence kept its concentration to keep another clean sheet. With a goal difference of 20 after five games, Egerton are playing some pretty impressive football.
